    Common Pool Leak Signs

Catching a leak early saves money and prevents damage. Learn the warning signs every Central Florida pool owner should watch for.

    Why Early Detection Matters

A small leak can waste thousands of gallons of water and damage your pool shell, deck, or landscaping. The sooner you spot the signs, the cheaper the fix. Not sure if you have a leak? Start with our 24-hour bucket test.

6 Signs Your Pool May Have a Leak

    Unexplained Water Loss

If your pool loses more than 1/4 inch of water per day, it's more than evaporation. Run a bucket test to confirm, then call a pro.

    Cracking or Loose Tiles

Cracks in the tile line or coping let water seep behind the pool shell. Loose tiles at the waterline are a red flag.

    Wet Spots Near the Pool

Soft, soggy, or unusually green patches in the grass between the pool and equipment pad often point to an underground plumbing leak.

Air Bubbles at the Return Jets

Air blowing out of the returns means the pump is pulling air in through a suction-side leak — usually at the skimmer or a fitting.

    Pump Losing Prime

If your pump struggles to stay primed or shuts off on its own, air may be entering the system through a leak in the suction line.

    Higher Water or Chemical Bills

A sudden jump in your water bill or the need to add chemicals more often can mean water (and chemicals) is escaping through a leak.
